Praying with Focus

God, today we pray for our pastors. You have appointed them as our spiritual leaders, and we pray that You guide and direct them as they lead our congregation. Like you did for Joseph, as they seek Your favor, give them favor with men and cause whatever they seek to do for Your kingdom to prosper. Protect each of our pastors and their families. Give them direction and knowledge, wisdom and focus. Grant them health and mental clarity. Visit them with Your peace. Help us to know how to uplift and support them in their work for Your Kingdom.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 "Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.  Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other."

Hebrews 13:7 "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith."
